The Basic Passage Search
Find exact chapters and/or verses by typing the book, chapter, and/or verse in the search box.
Examples: John 3:16 (for a single verse) or John 3 (for the entire chapter) or John 3:14-18 (for a select passage within a chapter)
Many, commonly-used abbreviations can be recognized, so Jn 3:16 will be recongized as John 3:16.
Note: The verse list will be included automatically when you select just the chapter, so John 3 will become John 3:1-36
The Basic Keyword Search
Find verses containing a specific word.
Example: love
More Advanced Keyword Search
Find verses containing two or more words you want by typing them in, separated by a space.
Example: Christ mercy
Find verses containing partial words by using the wildcard * (an asterisk).
Example: love* (returns love, loves, loved, lovely, etc.)
Find verses containing specific sets of words
Example: "Jesus answered"
(PLEASE NOTE: Due to the complexity of the database table containing the scriptures, the plugin currently can only hand a two-word combination. I hope to improve this in later updates.)
Using the Scope Option
Use the scope drop-down menu (default is set to the Whole Bible) to limit your word search to a specific section of the Bible
Example: love (returns only instances of the word “love” in the New Testament)
Scope will be ignored for reference searches (i.e. John 3:16)
General (These tools are available whenever verses are displayed.)
Lexicons: When the Link Keyed is set to Strong's, words keyed to Strong's Concordance will be highlighted (in red). Clicking the word will make the Strong's lexicon definition appear. (This is a dynamic action, which is triggered when you activate it once the page has loaded.)
Reference Search (These tools are available when performing a reference search. e.g. John 3:16)
Holman Cross-Reference: Linking 3,992 verses to 57,812 related verses. (Will be in the margin next to the text in reference searches)
Book Introductions: General information about the specific book of the Bible, by John MacArthur. Provided by his ministry, Grace to You (Used by permission)

Interlinear Bible: The Interlinar Hebrew/Greek text. It can be displayed alongside the English text, and the keyed words will be matched by highlighting the corresponding keyed word.
Word Search (These tools are available when performing a word search. e.g. “love”)
Word Filter: This tool displays a list of all the sections used by the scope filter, with the number of occurences of the keyword in each, linked to the word search limited by that scope.
Easton’s Bible Dictionary: Easton’s timeless Bible Dictionary with 3,963 entries. If the word you are searching for is in the dictionary, then it's definition will be displayed in this tool.
Lexicon Entries: A list of all Strong's entries which are keyed to this key word. Clicking on the entry title in the right pane will highlight any verses in the left pane that use that specific Strong's entry.
